How we're paid. The commission model.

Lighthouse Public Adjusters works on contingency. Below is the official commission schedule, the protected-minimum provision, a worked example, and the binding contract terms.

Our commission structure

Fair, transparent, and performance-based.

At Lighthouse Public Adjusters, our commission structure is designed to be fair, transparent, and performance-based.

Here's how it works:

  • Smaller claims require substantial time, documentation, negotiation, and expertise, so they carry a higher commission percentage to account for the effort involved.
  • As the claim value increases, our commission percentage decreases - providing clients with a volume-based reduction while allowing our compensation to scale fairly with the claim.
  • This model keeps your public adjuster focused on maximizing the recovery while maintaining a clear and predictable fee structure.
  • To prevent a higher claim value from producing a lower commission solely because it crosses into a new tier, the commission is subject to the minimum commission from the immediately preceding tier.

We believe in earning your trust through results. This commission schedule reflects our commitment to working in your best interest at every stage of the claim.

Protected minimum

A higher claim cannot lower your adjuster's commission.

Commission protection
Commission protection: The applicable percentage is based on the total claim recovery, provided the commission will not be less than the maximum commission payable under the immediately preceding claim-value tier.
Worked example
How the protected minimum works: A $25,000 recovery at 20% produces a $5,000 commission. If the recovery increases to $26,000, 18% would normally equal $4,680. Under the protected-minimum provision, the commission remains $5,000 until the percentage calculation exceeds that amount. This prevents a tier change from reducing Lighthouse's compensation as the client's recovery increases.
