Privacy Policy

How LightHouse handles your information. Plain-language version.

LightHouse Public Adjusters is licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. This page covers the information we collect when you reach out — the claim details, the damage photos, and the insurance-policy PDFs — and what we do with it. Intake data flows only inside the firm and the licensed carriers and regulatory bodies that already touch a claim.

Section 1

Information we collect.

We collect only what we need to review your claim and reply to you. Here is the full list, broken down by where each piece comes from.

Submitted through the intake form on our home page

  • Claim type — fire, water, freeze burst, or storm.
  • State — New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Colorado (the three states were licensed in).
  • Loss date — the date the loss occurred.
  • Damage summary — the free-text description you write about what happened.
  • Name, phone, and email — so we can reply.

Uploaded as attachments to the intake (up to five files, ten megabytes each)

  • Damage photos — accepted as image/jpeg, image/png, image/webp, and image/gif.
  • Insurance-policy PDFs — the declaration page and the policy body. We re-read these against the loss so we can pull the right coverage sections forward.

Captured server-side with each submission

  • Originating IP address — read from the request headers. Used only to rate-limit submissions (five per IP per hour) so spambots dont flood the queue.
  • User agent — the browser identifier sent with the request. Same purpose: distinguishing bot traffic from real visitors.
  • A honeypot field — an unread input on the form. If its filled in, the submission is silently discarded and never stored.

Cookies

Our site does not set cookies today. No analytics scripts, no ad pixels, no tracking beacons — we list this honestly so you can verify it rather than taking our word for it.

Section 2

How we use the information you submit.

  • To review the loss against your policy and reply with a straight-up read on whether representation will move the number on your claim.
  • To contact you back using the email address and phone number you provided. We email first; we phone only if the email goes unanswered.
  • To persist the intake in our practice records for the duration of the engagement and afterward, per the records-retention rules in the state where the loss sits.
  • To apply a per-IP rate limit (five submissions per IP per hour) so scripted spambots cant bury real intake behind noise.

Section 3

What we share with other parties.

The short version

We do not sell, rent, or share your intake data with advertising networks. No ad pixels, no retargeting lists, no social embeds load on this site today.

Cloudflare R2 (file storage)

Photos and policy PDFs you upload are stored in Cloudflare R2, accessed through Polsias storage proxy at polsia.com/api/proxy/r2/upload. The proxy returns a hosted URL the LightHouse team uses internally; the underlying files never leave our practice control.

Polsia email proxy (notifications)

Two narrow outbound calls go through Polsias email proxy at polsia.com/api/proxy/email:

  • /contacts — registers your name and email in the firm-side contact list so we can address replies and stay in touch during the engagement.
  • /send — emails our team a full intake summary (including hosted URLs of your uploaded attachments) the moment you submit, so a licensed adjuster can pick the file up the same business day.

Carriers and regulators

Only with your consent during an active claim engagement, and only the records the engagement requires — typically the loss description and supporting photos — shared through the channels the specific carrier or regulator asks for.

Section 4

Where your information is stored.

  • Database (Postgres). The lead record and its attachments live in our Postgres database as Lead and LeadAttachment rows. Access is gated to the licensed public-adjusters team.
  • Object storage (R2). Uploaded photos and PDFs in Cloudflare R2 — covered in Section 3 above.

Section 5

How long we keep it.

We retain intake records for the duration of the claim engagement and afterward for the records-retention period required by the public-adjuster licensing regulators in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. If we dont open a file with you, the intake is retained for the minimum period the relevant state requires and then deleted. Refined retention language specific to each state regulator is in place for the production copy of this policy.

Section 6

Your choices: access, correction, deletion.

You can email us any time to request a copy of the intake you submitted, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. We acknowledge within a reasonable window (typically a few business days) and act on straightforward requests within thirty days. If the record is already in the middle of an active claim engagement, deletion may be staged to the close of that engagement to satisfy the recordkeeping obligations described in Section 5.

Section 7

Questions about privacy, and when this policy is effective.

Privacy contact

For any privacy question — what we hold, how were using it, how to get a copy, how to correct or delete it — email us at the address below. The same inbox receives intake replies and privacy requests alike, so any message there reaches a licensed member of the firm.

Ready to tell us what happened?

The intake takes sixty seconds and is non-binding. A licensed public adjuster on our team replies personally — never a call center — and tells you straight up whether representation will move the number on your claim.
